My Animal Is Having an Emergency

For companion animals: Call or go directly to PetCare East in Santa Rosa (open 24 hours), or your nearest emergency veterinary clinic.

For farm animals:

  1. Call your animal’s regular veterinarian

  2. Go to UC Davis Large Animal Veterinary Hospital

  3. Call Goatlandia Founder Deborah Blum at (415) 710-0164.
    While not a veterinarian, Deborah may be able to offer guidance and help connect you with immediate care.

I Found an Animal

  • In an emergency involving a loose animal on a roadway or a safety concern, call 911.

  • Found a small dog or cat? Take them to the nearest veterinary clinic to be scanned for a microchip.

  • Found a farm animal? Contact Sonoma County Animal Services at (707) 565-7100

  • Found injured or orphaned wildlife? Contact Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue at (707) 526-WILD (9453), or call us.
